Inserting filter select fields in excel is very simple but I always forget it… :)
Let`s take some simple data for example:

Microfot Excel 2007
Now select header row:

Microfot Excel 2007
In “Home” pane press “Sort & Filter” and select Filter:

That’s all! Now you can filter rows by contents:
